NDT Technical Engineer (Non Destructive Testing) - Rolling Stock Technical Services



Rate: £330 - £380 per day (PAYE)

Duration: 6 months (with extension possible)

Location: Acton and other London based locations



We currently have a requirement for an NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Technician Engineer in our Vehicles Engineering Testing team. Based in our facility at Acton Town but expected to work across Zones 1-4, the post holder is responsible for performing a variety of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections, to support the organisations assets. This is a full time 'on site' role and there may be a requirement for working unsocial hours.



The NDT Technician Engineer will have the ability to translate NDT codes, standards, specifications and procedures into NDT instructions, adapted to the actual working conditions and will currently hold 2 PCN certificates (level 2) covering the following disciplines: magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection, as a minimum.



Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Essential unless stated Desirable)



2 PCN certificates, covering the following disciplines: magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant inspection at level 2
2 PCN certificates in Ultrasonic Axle Testing (UAT), eddy current testing and ultrasonic testing - Desirable
Experience performing NDT according to NDT procedures and standards
Ability Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes, specifications or procedures.
Good knowledge of relevant British and International Standards
Experience of working in a railway environment
