Our client is a well-established infrastructure contractor delivering multidisciplinary engineering solutions across the UK rail and infrastructure sectors. Renowned for its commitment to safety, innovation and operational excellence, the business continues to secure long-term frameworks and major infrastructure projects nationwide.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the safe, compliant and commercially successful delivery of infrastructure projects from mobilisation through to completion.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, mobilisation, construction, commercial performance, quality assurance and project close-out
- Coordinate project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements and company management systems
- Monitor project performance, managing programme, risk, cost, change control and client relationships to achieve successful project outcomes
- Ensure all project documentation, including RAMS, ITPs, quality records and engineering documentation, is completed and maintained in accordance with project requirements
Essential Skills
- Proven Project Management experience within the rail, infrastructure or construction sectors
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- SMSTS, CSCS Black Manager Card and a Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing programme, cost, quality and stakeholder expectations
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills
- Experience delivering major rail infrastructure or multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and collaborative project delivery
- APM PMQ, MAPM, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent Project Management qualification
- Temporary Works Awareness and IOSH Managing Safely certification
- Chartered Engineer (CEng/IEng) status, or actively working towards professional registration
Salary range
- £60,000 - £65,000 per year
