A leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance services working within the Infrastructure, Environment, Building & Real Estate and Advisory sectors looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the business in their Coventry Office

As a Quantity Surveyor you will assist the Operations team in managing and overseeing all commercial matters on projects from tender handover, through delivery to completion and to provide Commercial input and advice to Project Manager(PM)'s and Engineers as necessary while managing the region's commercial performance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Project Managers/Operations Managers to ensure that the obligations and responsibilities of the different projects and other stakeholders are properly fulfille
• Assessing cost of variations & attaining agreement with other parties
• Interpreting contractual implications
• Preparation of regular financial progress & anticipated final account reports
• Performing value management & cost control on projects

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• An understanding of NEC Contracts
• Awareness of different construction contracts & their relevant application
• A keen interest in in career development and further learning.
• Knowledge of current building and construction technology, cost planning and legal matters.
• Proven ability to write clear and precise documents.

Salary / Benefits : £40,000 - £48,000 dependant on level of experience plus package including:
