The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader / Access Prices Specialist to support a national rail assignment in Tanzania. In this pivotal role you will act as the primary interface between the consultancy and the client, ensuring objectives are met to time, quality, and budget while leading the technical approach on rail access pricing and tariff structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the assignment as Team Leader, serving as the link between the client and various stakeholders.
- Develop implementation plans, analyse procedures, and oversee team performance to deliver optimal results.
- Provide subject‑matter leadership on rail infrastructure access pricing, including costs and pricing across the railway transportation industry.
- Coordinate inputs, assure quality of outputs, and drive delivery across the home‑based and field phases.
Qualifications & Skills (Essential)
- Bachelor's degree in Transport Economics or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated familiarity with costs and pricing in the railway transportation industry.
- 15+ years' cumulative experience across regulation and tariff structure.
- 10+ years' specific experience in rail infrastructure access pricing.
- ≥1 year of professional experience in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
- Proficient English, written and spoken.
(A postgraduate degree in Road & Railway Transport Logistics Management or related field is an advantage.)

- Duration: 8 person‑months total (3MM home / 5MM field).
