
Rail Grinding Supervisory Manager
Morson Rail is a long-standing principal supplier of skilled track maintenance and upgrade engineers to Transport for London.
We are now looking for an experienced and qualified Grinding Supervisory Manager to join our team and help deliver our clients work program.
Your role will be to assist in planning and coordinating rail grinding activities, assessing track condition and determining appropriate grinding strategies, and supervising and directing rail grinding teams and support staff.
Other tasks may include overseeing the setup and operation of rail grinding machines, preparing and submitting quality and productivity reports and working on engineering possessions and blockades.
The ideal candidate will need to be a good communicator, able to work closely with colleagues and clients and must be flexible in working patterns which will include shift work and weekends.
Candidates must have a strong working knowledge and experience of rail grinding procedures along with track and conductor rail components and materials along with current rail standards, processes and documentation.
Work could be based at locations across the London Tube network and candidates must have a clean UK driving licence.
You will need:
- Certification in rail grinding operations including NR/L2/TRK/053 Detailed switch inspection & NR/L2/TRK/1054 Detailed crossing inspection
- .ICI-LU, BTA, DAMPS and Medical certificates.
- Additional skills and certification including NWR PTS and RfLi PRS are desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
