Are you an experienced M&E Design Engineer in the rail sector looking for an autonomous role with genuine flexibility and career progression?

Rate: £400 - £450 Outside ir35
Duration: Initial 3-month contract with likely extensions
Location: Fully remote

This is an opportunity for a proactive, mid-level designer to join a busy team, offering a remote-first setup and a clear path to gaining your CRE status. You will be responsible for producing a variety of M&E designs for station projects, including lighting plots, report writing, and Sisscoms.

The role requires you to take initiative and work autonomously, managing interdisciplinary discussions and driving projects forward without the need for hand holding.

For candidates close to CRE level, dedicated mentorship is available to help you achieve that sign-off faster than in a larger company.

Please note, this role is initially full time with the expectation of 3 - 5 days worth of work a week past 3 months.

If you have both Design and Project Engineering experience, then there will be more work available past the initial 3 moths.

What You'll Be Doing:

·Producing M&E designs for Network Rail station environments.
·Working across electrical, SISS Comms, and some mechanical elements.
·Engaging in client-facing meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
·Working flexibly, from 3 to 5 days per week, with the ability to work remotely after a brief initial onboarding.
