Rail NEC Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Senior / Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: West London - Hybrid Working (shuttle services available from Central London)
Rate: £450- £525 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
Contract: Long-Term Contract
Start Date: ASAP
This is an opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support major HS2 works in West London. The role requires someone with strong NEC contractual knowledge who can take ownership of the commercial management of their package and operate with minimal supervision.
Where you will add value:
- Managing the commercial delivery of HS2 project packages
- Administering NEC contracts and managing contractual processes
- Managing compensation events, early warnings, applications, valuations, and change
- Producing cost reports, forecasts, and commercial reporting
- Managing subcontractor accounts and procurement activities
- Monitoring project costs and commercial performance
- Working closely with project, commercial, and delivery teams
- Acting as a key commercial contact with clients and subcontractors
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects
- Heavy NEC contract experience - essential
- Ability to manage a project/package independently and hit the ground running
- Strong understanding of change management, compensation events, valuations, and final accounts
- Main contractor or major infrastructure background preferred
- Excellent commercial and stakeholder management skills
