Job Title: Rail Safety Critical Recruitment Consultant
Location: National
Reporting to: Rail Exec Team

We are looking for a experienced & professional Rail Safety Critical Recruitment Consultant to lead and grow our safety-critical rail offering across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Strategic Leadership

  • Full national P&L ownership for the rail safety-critical division.
  • Develop and execute a national growth strategy.
  • Drive revenue, margin, and performance against agreed targets.
  • Identify and secure new framework agreements and project opportunities.

Business Development & Account Management

  • Proactively develop new business across the UK rail sector.
  • Manage and grow key accounts, maximising share of wallet.
  • Leverage access to all existing Morson Vital clients to expand safety-critical services.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across infrastructure, principal contractors, and supply chain partners.

Safety-Critical Compliance & Delivery

  • Oversee the compliant supply of safety-critical rail personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to standards set by Network Rail and relevant principal contractors.
  • Maintain compliance with the Sentinel Scheme.
  • Align operational practices with guidance from the Rail Safety and Standards Board.
  • Ensure medicals, drug & alcohol testing, competencies, and right-to-work checks are robust and audit-ready.

Team Development

  • Build and scale a national team around your leadership.
  • Mentor and develop consultants and compliance staff.
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Utilise the regional office network to support national delivery at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in rail safety-critical recruitment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with prior P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrable success in national business development and account growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of rail compliance, Sentinel, and safety-critical competencies.
  • Leadership experience or readiness to build and manage a team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to operate both operationally and commercially.
