Rail Signalling (CBTC) Expert - Philippines

ewi Recruitment, on behalf of a leading international engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Signalling Expert to support the delivery of a major railway project in the Philippines.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior railway signalling professional to join a high-profile, internationally funded rail programme involving advanced signalling and train control systems on one of the largest railway developments in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and specialist support for railway signalling installation, construction supervision, testing and commissioning activities.
• Monitor contractor performance and compliance with project specifications and international railway standards.
• Review signalling designs, construction methodologies, testing procedures and commissioning documentation.
• Support project stakeholders throughout implementation and project delivery.
• Assist in knowledge transfer, training and capacity-building initiatives.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Railway Engineering or a related discipline.
• 20+ years of overall professional experience.
• 15+ years of railway signalling experience.
• Strong experience across railway signalling systems delivery.
• Proven CBTC experience, including installation, construction supervision, testing and commissioning.
• Experience on at least one railway project involving a signalling package valued at USD $30 million or greater.
• Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing complex railway signalling works through delivery and commissioning phases.

Highly Desirable

Candidates with the following experience will be viewed favourably:

• Knowledge and practical experience of ERTMS / ETCS, particularly ETCS Level 2 systems.
• Experience working on ODA-funded, JICA-funded, World Bank, ADB or other internationally financed transportation projects.
• Previous involvement in training, mentoring or technical capacity-building programmes.
• International railway project experience, particularly within Asia.

Package

The salary will be between $10-12,000 per month tax free and expected to last around 3 years.
