Rail Signalling Integration Specialist – Philippines

Type: Long-term project opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Signalling Integration Specialist to join a landmark urban rail project in the Philippines. The role sits within a leading international rail systems contractor delivering the one of Southeast Asia’s most significant infrastructure schemes.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of signalling systems across a complex, multidisciplinary railway environment, supporting safe and efficient operations to international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate signalling system integration activities across all subsystems (trackside, onboard, telecoms, PSD, power, etc.)
• Act as a technical interface between signalling, rolling stock, telecoms, and wider rail systems teams
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and integration (T&C) activities, ensuring full system functionality and performance
• Manage and review interface control documents (ICDs), test procedures, and integration plans
• Ensure compliance with international railway standards, safety requirements, and project specifications
• Identify and mitigate risks relating to system interfaces, integration, and operational readiness
• Liaise with stakeholders including contractors, consultants, independent safety assessors, and client representatives
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex signalling system interactions across multiple disciplines
• Provide technical leadership during system validation, verification, and handover to operations

Key Requirements

• Degree qualified in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Rail Systems, or similar)
• Extensive experience in railway signalling systems integration on metro, mainline, or high-speed rail projects
• Strong background in CBTC and/or ETCS signalling technologies
• Proven experience in testing, commissioning, and system integration phases
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary interfaces across large-scale rail projects
• Strong knowledge of RAMS, safety assurance, and system validation processes
• Experience working in an international project environment (Asia or emerging markets preferred)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate senior stakeholders
