We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (Viaducts & Bridges) to join a major infrastructure project involving complex bridge and viaduct works. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging structures within a multidisciplinary project environment.

The Role

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design review, construction supervision, and contractual aspects of viaduct and bridge works, working closely with contractors, consultants, and the client team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of bid documents, tender assistance, and technical evaluation of contractor submissions
• Review and approval of detailed engineering designs, construction drawings, and shop drawings for viaduct and bridge structures
• Review contractors’ work programmes and construction method statements, assessing technical feasibility
• Evaluation of claims, variation orders, and value engineering proposals submitted by contractors
• Coordination and interface with Architectural & Buildings, E&M, Track, BIM, QA/QC, Construction Management, and Materials teams
• Technical support on viaduct and bridge structures during construction
• Drafting formal correspondence in response to contractor submissions in line with contract requirements
• Supporting BIM coordination, including review of contractors’ BIM Execution Plans
• Assisting the client during inter-agency coordination meetings

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proven experience in the design and/or construction of balanced cantilever bridges and/or segmental viaducts
• Strong understanding of bridge construction methods and temporary works
• Experience reviewing contractor design submissions and construction documentation
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary Package:

The package on offer is dependent on experience but likely to be in the region of $7,500 to $8,500 per month Tax Free with additional allowances.
