AM1 Projects Ltd

Location: Based Kent / various sites in the UK Salary: Starting at £49,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (mix of day, night and weekend shifts)

Join a team that's going places, and takes you with it. AM1 Projects is a specialist DC Railway Electrification and Electrical Track Engineering contractor, working on the maintenance and renewal of DC traction equipment for major organisations across the rail and civil engineering sectors, and directly for Network Rail as a Principal Contractor. We're currently looking for an experienced Supervisor / PIC to lead one of our site teams, whether your background is electrical or civils.

We know supervisors are the backbone of any site. You'll be the person the team looks to, the person who keeps everyone safe, and the person who gets the job done properly. In return, we'll back you with real training, a company van, and a team around you that genuinely has your back.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and motivating your team, acting as Team Leader and Person in Charge (PIC) on site
  • Managing planned works as well as reactive works, making sure the job gets done safely, to standard, and on time - inspection, fault finding, maintenance, renewals and new works
  • Making sure toolbox talks, COSHH, safety briefs and Safe Work Packs are in place and understood by everyone under your control
  • Making sure plant, tools and equipment are fit for purpose, tested, and used only by competent, trained people
  • Reporting progress and issues to your Project Manager/Engineer after every shift
  • Setting the standard for your team on PPE, competency, and site conduct

What you'll bring:

  • Relevant technical or specialist training in either an electrical or civils discipline
  • Solid knowledge of railway infrastructure maintenance and operating standards
  • The confidence to lead, organise, and direct a team on site
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Current track safety competencies (or willingness to obtain), including PTS and COSS

What's in it for you:

  • Company van provided
  • Ongoing training and development, with support to build on the competencies you already hold
  • Consistent work across a strong pipeline of rail projects
  • A mix of day, night and weekend shifts, with the variety that brings
  • A close-knit, supportive team culture where people are known by name, not number

Why AM1 Projects?

If you're looking for somewhere you can put down roots, build a career, and work alongside people who care, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and bring your rail experience - electrical or civils - to a team that values getting it right, safely, and looking after each other while we do it.
