Section Engineers

SECTION ENGINEER - INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS - FREELANCE INSIDE IR35 - BUCKINGHAM

Section Engineers are currently required to deliver a number of work packages across a large infrastructure project in Buckingham. The work packages mainly consist of earthworks and structures, and the engineer will require a solid background in these areas.

The role:

• Section engineers will be required to oversee all works associated with a specific work package, ensuring all engineering requirements are fully delivered on time and within budget
• Day-to-day management and supervision of the works, including escalation of technical queries to the relevant Project Managers where needed
• Undertaking setting out tasks where required, and checking subcontractors work
• Attending progress meetings, and providing critical project updates to the wider project team, advising on any possibly delays or project issues

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally within civil engineering or a construction related subject
• Extensive experience of undertaking engineering duties on a large scale infrastructure scheme
• Excellent understanding of earthworks and structures packages, including all technical requirements
• Capable of pro-actively managing site activities, ensuring works are completed on time and within budget

Remuneration:

• Competitive day rates on offer, paid inside IR35 via the Umbrella model
• Extensive work bank, with contracts likely to run for 12 months plus
• Opportunities to progress across the project into Sub agent and agent roles
