Senior Estimator

Our client has recently been awarded several new Frameworks (and with existing volume of works increasing on current frameworks) as such,, they are seeking to increase the size of their Estimating team with both Estimators and Senior Estimators.

Our client works across various sectors, rail, aviation, local authority, highways etc and is ideally seeking individuals that have a proven background of working on bids within these industries.

Current project portfolio includes:

? Highways & Roads
? Under bridges, Overbridges & Footbridges
? Tunnels & Station Infrastructure
? Flood Alleviation & Repairs
? Earthworks & Embankments
? Lineside Civils, Cabling, Trough Routes & Telecoms

Key Responsibilities:

Effective registration, control, and administration of tender documentation
Preparation and management of tenders from receipt of documents through to delivery
Presentation of tenders to senior management at tender review meetings
Liaison with the Supply Chain team in respect of placing supplier/subcontractor enquiries
Technical and commercial appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials, and temporary works
Take-offs from drawings and production of cost-effective tenders from first principles
Effective analysis and pricing of risks
Preparation of tender submission documents
Preparation of estimating reports
Providing assistance to proposals and contract management functions


Requirements:

Previous experience as a Senior Estimator in multi-disciplinary civil engineering sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, and/or utilities and power
First Principles Estimating experience
Civil engineering project experience
Experience as a Senior Estimator in a civil engineering contractor organisation
Working knowledge of Excel (& Word) and estimating software
