We are currently supporting a leading international engineering consulting firm that is further expanding its Berlin office as part of a dynamic growth strategy. As the appointed recruitment agency, we are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer (m/f/d) for signaling and control technology (SCT) to strengthen our client's Rail division.

This position offers you the opportunity to assume key responsibility in demanding infrastructure and transportation projects – within a company that is recognized throughout Europe as a reliable partner for complex engineering services.

Your responsibilities:

• Independent planning of signaling and safety systems in accordance with HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers), railway-specific guidelines, and relevant standards
• Handling multiple project phases from initial planning to detailed design
• Technical coordination with internal departments and external partners
• Ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and schedule requirements
• Providing technical support and mentoring to junior engineers
• Participating in the optimization of internal planning processes

Your profile:

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, railway engineering, transportation engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the planning of signaling and safety systems (e.g., electronic interlocking, PZB, LZB, level crossing systems)
• Very good knowledge of relevant technical standards and railway-specific regulations
• Proficient use of common planning tools
• Structured, independent, and team-oriented work style
• Very good German language skills (at least C1 level)
