Company Information

The company is a contractor that has a dynamic working environment that has a growing work bank and established portfolio of civil engineering programmes. My client will also look to speak to experienced Quantity Surveyors looking to take the next step up in their career.

The company is based In the North West Area which is commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Preston, Warrington and Stockport

Role & Responsibilities

Responsible for the robust commercial management of a variety of projects: Including overseeing financial performance, managing costs, conducting procurement processes, and maintaining accurate financial logs and reports.

You will lead projects as the most senior commercial contact as well as lead and develop a small commercial team, ensuring their performance

Build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

Ensure compliance with contractual terms and achieving business plan both commitments.

Monitor, analyse and report on the bill of quantities, specification and contractual implications of ongoing and new projects.

Essential Skills

Practical experience in a quantity surveying role in a civil engineering environment, working for a main contractor in either Civil Engineering, Rail, Highways, Telecoms or Renewables.

NEC Contracts experience is essential.

Experiencing working on multiple and large projects simultaneously, be able to work independently and manage a small team.

Desired Skills

BSc in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent commercially related discipline)

Working towards professional membership of an appropriate organisation (for example, RICS/CIOB)

Salary range

  • £50,000 - £65,000 per year
