Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office, site and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

Overview of project/role
This is an excellent development opportunity for the right candidate to join Transport for London’s Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) team, supporting the Capital Delivery Directorate. You will play a key role in ensuring construction projects across TfL are delivered safely and sustainably.
As a SHE Advisor, you will support SHE Business Partners with assurance activities such as site inspections, safety data reporting, incident management system support, and SHE communications. You’ll contribute to the development and implementation of SHE plans, engage with live project activities, and help ensure TfL staff, customers, and supply chain partners go home safe and healthy every day.
This role offers exposure to major infrastructure projects and has a clear pathway for progression within TfL’s SHE function.
Key accountabilities
- Support SHE Business Partners in delivering Level 2 assurance activities across TfL Capital Delivery projects.
- Assist with SHE data gathering, analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making and compliance.
- Provide tactical support for incident management systems and SHE governance processes.
- Contribute to SHE communications and engagement initiatives to promote a positive safety culture.
- Undertake site visits and project meetings to gain practical experience in construction safety and risk management.

Desirable Skills
- Nebosh General/ Construction
- Knowledge of SHE legislation and standards.
- Membership of relevant professional body eg. IOSH, IEMA
- Knowledge of CDM
- Awareness of construction activities and SHE principles.
