The Opportunity

This is not a traditional SHE Business Partner role.

We're looking for an experienced SHE professional to join our Customer & Strategy and Corporate Services team. You’ll work seamlessly between corporate functions, technology environments, commercial property operations and heritage assets – partnering with senior leaders and empowering diverse teams to manage risk confidently and effectively.

You’ll support a uniquely diverse portfolio, from a nationally recognised transport museum with public-facing attractions and live infrastructure operations, to a commercial property estate and technology products, alongside specialist corporate functions including strategy, communications, finance and HR teams.

Success in this role requires someone who can quickly understand different business environments, build credibility with stakeholders at all levels and translate SHE requirements into practical, proportionate solutions that work for the business.

This is a role for a genuine business partner, not a compliance administrator.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partnering with senior leaders to embed SHE into business decision-making and operational planning.
  • Developing practical SHE frameworks and management systems across varied business functions.
  • Providing assurance, challenge and support to ensure risk is effectively managed.
  • Using data, trends and performance insights to identify key risks and drive measurable improvements.
  • Coaching and developing managers to improve SHE capability and ownership.
  • Supporting investigations, assurance activities and learning reviews.
  • Influencing a broad range of stakeholders, from executives and managers to volunteers, contractors and operational teams.
  • Supporting property, construction and infrastructure-related activities, including CDM matters where required.
  • Driving continuous improvement programmes that strengthen SHE culture and performance.

Who We're Looking For

You will be a confident and versatile SHE professional with the ability to build relationships and influence across a complex organisation.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in a SHE partnering, advisor or management role.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing or improving SHE management systems within complex organisations.
  • Strong coaching and engagement skills, with the ability to develop capability in others.
  • Ability to analyse performance data, identify trends and turn insight into action.
  • Experience working across multiple business functions with differing risk profiles.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, governance and assurance.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting professional services or corporate functions.
  • Experience within technology, property, infrastructure or operational environments.
  • Experience of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
  • Membership of IOSH, IEMA or equivalent professional body.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification.

Application Process

  • Please apply using your CV only
  • Think carefully about the skills, knowledge and experience in the advert and cover this in your CV
  • PDF format preferred and do not include any photographs or images
