Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per year
Location: UK Based (Doncaster Office)
1stinrail (Part of the RSK Group) has an opportunity for a competent and motivated Signalling Technician to join our growing signalling division.
This is a UK-based role aligned to our Doncaster office, with works primarily across the Midlands, Yorkshire, North East and the Peterborough to King’s Cross corridor. Office attendance is infrequent.
The Role
Reporting to the Signalling Team Leader, you will work as part of a site-based team delivering depot maintenance and project-based signalling works, including schemes for Network Rail. This is a hands-on technical role focused on safe, compliant and high-quality delivery, with clear supervision and development support.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake signalling renewals, installations, maintenance and response works
• Work safely and in compliance with Network Rail and Group Standards
• Support fault finding, testing, installation and commissioning activities
• Assist with site preparation, delivery and handback documentation
• Accurately complete site records and technical documentation
• Promote a strong safety culture on site
About You
• IRSE Licence or working towards IRSE licensing / CAC
• Practical signalling experience in renewals, installation or maintenance
• SMTH competence (desirable, depending on experience)
• COSS or IWA (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively within a team
