Brief Description

We are looking for a Technical Clerk to join our Liverpool Delivery Unit team on a 6 month basis, based in Crewe.

You will provide a high‑quality, efficient, and effective general administrative, technical, and analytical service to the engineering team.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the service by supporting informed decision‑making, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the delivery of key outputs.

About the role (External)

Data Analysis and Insight - Analyse qualitative and quantitative data from a range of sources, identifying trends, issues, and key findings. Present data clearly and accurately in reports, briefings, and spreadsheets to support recommendations, planning, and decision‑making by management and the wider team.

Technical and Administrative Support - Provide comprehensive technical and administrative support, including the use of relevant systems, databases, and software. Assist with day‑to‑day operational tasks to ensure the team functions efficiently and deadlines are met.

Information Management - Locate, collate, and validate data, records, and other information as required, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. Respond to requests for information in a timely and professional manner.

Maintenance of Records and Publications - Carry out the regular upkeep, review, and updating of publications, datasets, logs, records, and documentation. Ensure information is current, compliant with relevant standards, and stored appropriately for audit and reference purposes.

Support to Deliver Outputs - Assist in the preparation of required outputs such as reports, presentations, briefings, and submissions. Coordinate inputs from multiple sources, track progress against actions, and support the completion of work to agreed timescales and quality standards.

In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:
