Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE
Location: Liverpool, Derby, London offices (flexible or remote working available)
An established engineering and construction organisation is looking to appoint a Temporary Works Design Engineer to support a growing portfolio of rail infrastructure work. With a strong pipeline of projects and increasing design demand, the team is expanding and looking for an engineer with temporary works experience who is keen to develop within a collaborative and supportive design environment.
You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering temporary works design solutions that support construction across major rail programmes, working closely with both design and site teams to develop safe and practical engineering solutions.
Typical temporary works include scaffolding, edge protection systems, retaining structures and crane pad assessments, supporting safe construction within operational rail environments.
Essential requirements
- Experience in temporary works design within infrastructure or construction
- Strong understanding of civil or structural engineering principles
- Ability to produce calculations, drawings and technical documentation
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
Desirable experience
- Experience working on rail infrastructure projects
