Scotland's Railway is part of this large family and it covers a large geographical area from the Borders to Thurso at the far tip of the North East of Scotland, accounting for almost 20 per cent of the UK rail network. We provide rapid access along busy commuter routes to our seven cities, servicing the varied needs of our business and leisure commuter services, including cross border services and rural services. We have up to 50 freight services operating every day and we are steadily building capacity for this to grow. Brief Description
Optimise and coordinate the annual and quarterly work plans to support efficient delivery of maintenance and project work within the delivery unit.About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities
· Produce annual and quarterly work plans that coordinate and optimise the use of labour, access, plant, tools and materials.
· Identify and request critical access and resource requirements for items included in the annual and quarterly plans.
· Monitor and report on work efficiency and unit costs of work volume delivery against the annual and quarterly plans, identifying the causes of variance.
Experience, skills, knowledge, competencies and qualifications
Essential
· Work plan production and resource coordination and optimisation skills
· Knowledge of access and possession planning processes and systems
· Good analytical skills
· Good interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
Desirable
· Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques
