Location: Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham
Summary
A global manufacturer of foundation drilling equipment and established in the UK market for over 12 years is looking to hire a Workshop Mechanic to join their expanding Workshop in Rotherham.
The role will be carrying out the rebuild and overhaul of heavy gearboxes, component rebuilds and general maintenance activities to equipment including but not limited to large scale piling rigs and heavy-duty cranes.
Responsibilities
- Commissioning, repairs, rigging / de-rigging and maintenance of all types of equipment at the workshop facility
- Liaise with our customers service staff to rectify faults both on site and over the telephone.
- Liaise with the after sales team to provide feedback from Jobsites and to help rectify faults.
- Load/unload equipment by use of forklift/telehandler/crane.
- It maybe required on occasions to go with the field service engineers to assist with onsite activities. However, this should be at a minimum.
To be suitable for the Workshop Mechanic Role you will have;
Ideally have a strong background in the inspection, repair and overhaul of heavy industrial components
Other areas or experience for consideration would be:
- Industrial engines
- Hydraulic pump and motor overhaul and repair
- Industrial gearboxes and torque reductions
- Possess a thorough understanding of modern mobile Hydraulics and Electrics / Electronics.
- Possess relevant industry qualifications and hold a current CSCS skills cards.
- Employ good communication skills and a customer focused attitude
- Hold a full UK driving license and passport.
- Previous knowledge of BAUER products is desirable however not essential.
- Ideally NVQ/Diploma L2/L3 in the following or similar in:
- Plant Maintenance and Repair
- Heavy Diesel maintenance and Repair
- Land based Service Engineering
Regular product training will be provided for the successful candidate
Salary: Circa £45,000 - £52,000 plus package including:
- Bonus scheme

- 25 days holiday per year.
Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and hold full right to work in the UK
