8-week contract – supporting on a blockade

£18.50 per hour + holiday pay (PAYE)

Start: April 2026 / Up to 45 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Supervisor to support the supervision of multiple compounds on a major blockage near Leeds.

Our client is looking for someone who is flexible to work across multiple sites and has a good understanding of Health and Safety Compliance in the Rail Industry.

You will be working in a yard / compound environment that includes being around heavy machinery such as HGVs, with responsibilities such as keeping the site organised, working flexible shifts, and leading in health and safety practises.

This Compound operates 24 hours a day over 3 shifts.

Requirements

• Have experience working within a busy safety critical Rail environment (essential).
• Worked around HGV / machines etc.
• Hold a current PTS or have previously had this
• Hold a Banksman and First Aid Certification (ideal, however can be organised beforehand)
• Have a strong understanding and ability to implement Health & Safety working practices.
• Be flexible to work either day / nights.
• Hold a full UK driving Licence
