SITE ENGINEER – RAIL &amp; INFRASTRUCTURE – BUCKINGHAMSHIRE – FREELANCE&nbsp;Site Engineer required to join a huge infrastructure project in Buckinghamshire on a freelance basis.&nbsp; This contractor is currently undertaking work on a large-scale, complex infrastructure project and requires the services of a senior engineer to deliver a number of complex work packages.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, and previous experience of undertaking a Senior Site Engineer/Section Engineer role on a large infrastructure project.&nbsp;Requirements:<ul><li>Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering</li><li>Minimum of 3 years post qualified experience on Rail or civil infrastructure projects</li><li>Experience of Civil Engineering in a Rail environment</li><li>Setting Out and surveying skills</li><li>Excellent track record on large scale rail &amp; Metro projects</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li></ul>&nbsp;Duties:<ul><li>Setting out for Civils work in a Railway / Metro environment</li><li>Completing all QA</li><li>Assisting the Site agent and Site Management with Technical issues</li><li>Managing sub-contractors</li><li>Checking sub-contractors work</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits package:<ul><li>Competitive day rate – INSIDE IR35 (Via Umbrella company)</li><li>Long term project – 3 years+</li><li>Development and progression opportunities</li></ul>

Senior Engineer

About The Role: EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Were looking to recruit a Site Engineer with Earthworks and Drainage experience on a freelance basis to join our team based in the Calvert Area. The Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations for the section of works. You will be required to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out M&amp;E works activities to the required standards, programme and budget. You will be responsible for work with the other team members of the setting out team and be responsible for the performance and development M&amp;E Sub-Contractors and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent. Specification and coordination of varied contractors and time frame to ensure smooth delivery in a just in time fashion. Ensuring that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will be required to assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting. About The Candidate: Key Skills and Qualifications: HNC/Degree (Construction/M&amp;E related) or equivalent Previous experience in Earthworks and/or drainage Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills You must hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle You must hold a CSCS - White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor

About The Role:

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
We are looking to recruit a Site Engineer on a freelance basis to join our Engineering team based in Calvert. The Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations.
You will be required to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget. You will be responsible for work with the other team members of the setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the junior engineers and also for identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent. Monitoring and coordinating subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements. Ensuring that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will be required to assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.

Key Skills and Qualifications:<ul>
<li>HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)</li><li>Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.</li><li>Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is essential for this role</li><li>Must have own transport to be able to attend site(s) in remote areas</li><li>Full driving licence required</li><li>You must hold the following competencies
