Jacobs
PEOPLE-BASED OPERATING PHILOSOPHY
With more than 55 years in the industry, Jacobs has attracted and retained clients by building long-term relationships and providing customer value—in fact, over 90 percent of Jacobs work is repeat business from loyal clients. This strategy yields cost advantages, profits, and growth, allowing us to attract and retain investors and thus fuel further growth. The combination of a loyal client base and steady growth enables us to attract and retain the industry’s top talent—currently more than 35,000 employees worldwide.
Demand for essential improvements in rail infrastructure continues to drive opportunities in the UK and worldwide. Using private sector best practices, Jacobs recommends innovative project delivery methods and tools to efficiently implement our clients’ programme objectives.
Amongst other projects, Jacobs provides a range of technical services on Network Rail’s West Coast Route Modernisation (WCRM) Project in the U.K. The WCRM Project will deliver 125-mile-per-hour train speeds, reduce journey times, and significantly increase passenger capacity over this important route. Combining local presence with global rail expertise, we provide master planning, technical consulting, and detailed design to help Network Rail manage and implement this complex programme. In addition, Jacobs recently began design services to help Network Rail develop prioritised track and signalling schemes across the U.K.—increasing route capacity and operational flexibility.
