Our client, a major rail and construction consultancy operating from the UK, has this week announced a significant project, recently successfully negotiated and due to commence this summer. The Project, based in Romania, is a clear example of our client’s dynamic and forward thinking business strategy, and their subsequent plans for expansion.
We need all capable and qualified international contractors who feel that they can contribute their own expertise to this large-scale project to come forward and help our client consolidate the market-leader position that they currently occupy.
The project itself will involve the complete civil and structural design and implementation of an entire railway line stretching across Romania, through the Brasov, Harghita, Mures, Sibiu, Alba, Hunedoara and Dolj regions of the country.
Including track, earthworks and all associated structures, the project will require a large number of contractors with international experience to fill numerous senior roles within the project.
Each successful candidate will be an expert in their own field, and their individual input will have a genuine effect on the eventual success of the project as a whole. The work will take place largely onsite in Romania, and as such the client is prepared to fully cover all travel and accommodation expenses whilst on site. Salary is entirely negotiable, as we are looking for top class people who are worth top class salaries.
The duration of the project is 27 months, and all contractors will be considered at this time for similar contract roles within the client’s UK operations, should they wish to take this opportunity. Similarly, any permanent applications will be considered from the outset with this in mind.
The roles available are:
• Team Leader
o The Top Dog. Civil background, have lead at lead at least three successful railway infrastructure projects
• Railway Infrastructure Engineer Design Manager (X3)
o Civil engineer, three separate roles for each section of the project
• Structural Engineer
o Bridges
• Structural Engineer
o All other rail structures
• Railway Stations Arrangement Specialist
o Three Years experience in international station arrangement
• Signalling Engineer
o IRSE principle designer
• Telecommunications Engineer
o Experience in elaboration of design and feasibility studies for telecoms projects
• OHLE Engineer
o Experience in design and feasibility projects
• Transport Economist
o MSc Level Economist
• Environmental Expert
o Preparation/review of environmental impact studies
• Procurement Expert
o Min three years experience in public procurement in an international market
The successful candidates will all:
o Be degree qualified
o Have a minimum of 18 months/two years rail experience in a counrty other than their own
o Be an expert in their designated field, and have notable professional experience to back this up
o Be happy to lodge in Romania
o Speak English fluently
The nationality of the candidate is entirely irrelevant, and all work permits will be provided. If you are good enough, you will be considered.
