Atkins leads field in rail safety training courses
23 Mar 2006
Atkins Rail has a justifiable reputation for providing high standard safety related training covering Network Rail, LUL and health and safety courses.
Since the opening of its training centre in 1992, the scope of Atkins’ rail training programme has expanded significantly. With ever increasing industry demand for LUL courses, Atkins offers safety induction (entry permit) soon to be complemented by the full range of fire courses.
The Atkins training centres in Waterloo and Derby serve the needs of the rail industry through their customised design and the breadth of knowledge offered by experienced staff, that will also deliver training on site in England, Scotland and Wales by request.
Both locations provide professional training in a classroom environment with an emphasis on interactive learning through equipment demonstration and on-site track access visits under expert supervision.
A broad range of industry standard and bespoke training is offered. Our Network Rail courses include competencies from PTS through to ES, plus specialised courses for DC electrified lines and HV assessors. Occupational health and safety courses include asbestos awareness, company specific manual handling, and also the SPA passport for underground railways.
