ATOC to Sponsor RailStaff Awards 2009
25 Mar 2009
The Association of Train Operating Companies is sponsoring the RailStaff Awards 2009 – in this the third year of the Awards. ATOC together with Network Rail are the Associate Sponsors of the RailStaff Awards.
ATOC Chief Executive, Michael Roberts, says, ‘We at ATOC are delighted once again to be an Associate Sponsor of the RailStaff Awards. We often don’t hear enough about the professionalism of railway staff, which deserves greater recognition. The railway is run by many dedicated people who work day and night to keep it moving. They are our strength and these awards are a good way of recognising the efforts of our best performers.’
The RailStaff Awards 2009 takes place at Birmingham International Convention Centre on 17 October. ‘We are delighted to have ATOC headlining the RailStaff Awards 2009,’ says Per Staehr, chairman of the Rail Media Group, which runs the RailStaff Awards. ‘We are particularly grateful for the advice and encouragement of our friends at ATOC,’ says Per.
