Coyle Rail is to sponsor Rail Infrastructure Person of the Year 2010, the company's fourth successive sponsorship of the RailStaff Awards.

The company plays a leading role in the modern rail industry working with major projects on the national rail network and London Underground.

Says Roger Stewart, Rail Director, Coyle Rail, ‘I am delighted to be involved with the RailStaff Awards for the fourth year running. Our business is people and the skills they offer. We funnel excellence into the railway industry. Seeing initiative and professionalism rewarded makes good sense and we're delighted to be sponsoring the newly titled Rail Infrastructure Person of the Year (formerly Track Worker).'

Tom O'Connor, Managing Director of Rail Media Group, said, ‘We are delighted that Coyle Rail has decided to sponsor the Rail Infrastructure Person of the Year. Coyle Rail makes a patient and powerful contribution to the rail industry and its top performing team is no stranger to excellence. It is highly appropriate that Roger Stewart has agreed to continue as a sponsor of the RailStaff Awards, despite the economic gloom that is evident all around us.

‘Coyle Rail is also a board member of RICA, the Rail Industry Contractors Association, which consists of many key rail contractors and is a collective force in rail which can exert influence, gain valuable market intelligence and also has a firm safety commitment vital for all railway staff. '

Coyle Rail has been a supplier of top flight rail staff to the industry since 1996. The company enjoys an enviable market share. The Coyle Group itself has a turnover of more than £120 million, Coyle personnel £70 million and Coyle Rail is now the biggest division with a turnover of £30 million and supplies top quality professionals to Network Rail and all the major infrastructure contractors.

The company has a network-wide geographical spread. Headquartered in Harrow, Coyle Rail has offices in Glasgow, Cardiff, York, Chelmsford, Reading, Maidstone, London Liverpool Street and Birmingham.

Says Roger, ‘It gives us a nationwide coverage. We employ 30 back up staff in the rail division responsible for admin and resourcing our operations. We also employ trainers and assessors and 17 recruitment  consultants. Our core business is supplying safety critical staff to the rail industry. At any one time we have between 300 and 1200 staff available.'
