Paul McLoughlin has formed in2rail which will provide a recruitment and training brokerage service across the rail industry through a high quality supplier management programme.
Paul has substantial experience and knowledge of the rail industry, its problems and the challenges it faces, not only in difficult financial times, but with changing technology and when the country is looking for a more efficient transport infrastructure.
He has spent more than 14 years with the RTC Group (formerly ATA Group) based in the railway engineering city of Derby where, as Divisional Managing Director, he was in charge of their railway division.
He successfully oversaw the transformation of the former College of Rail and Technology on London Road, which was once the main training centre for the UK’s rail industry to a thriving Conference Centre.
This has multi bedroom accommodation and conference facilities whilst maintaining on the complex, a revitalised rail training centre which trains thousands of students each year as one of the best of its kind in the country. Investment in the refurbishment schemes cost more than £500,000.
Now, after extensive research in the market place, Paul has turned his attention to solving the recruitment and training problems to assist the rail industry in keeping up with the ever-changing demands and needs.
“From my own experience of being the Managing Director of three businesses in the industry I am aware of the many changes that have been and will continue to be implemented within it,” he said.
“With these changes it is essential that to deliver their business commitments companies need to recruit, train and retain the best talent available.
“in2rail has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the companies which operate in the recruitment and training supply chain for the rail industry and the businesses which procure their services.
“We will collaborate with our clients to provide the best service to meet their specific needs and co-operate with our suppliers to ensure the market place remains competitive.
“We intend to work closely with the key stakeholders in the rail industry, including Network Rail, the Association of Train Operating Companies and GoSkills (the sector skills council for transport) to focus on providing the people and skills for the infrastructure and service which is so vital to the country”
