James’s Goal is to be a Safe Pair of Hands

03 Feb 2006

James Evans makes for a safe pair of hands on the railways – and in goal for football giant-killers Alloa FC.

The 24 year old played a crucial role in the Division Two side’s shock 2-1 defeat of Premier League side Livingston recently, which stood him in good stead for his daytime role in First ScotRail’s operational safety department.

James has worked for the company for 18 months. His job involves looking after a database on safety issues for all staff, including drivers.

He has played more than 70 games for Alloa, following a spell in England at leading Premiership side Bolton Wanderers.
