Mainline Staffing

More than just a recruitment company, Mainline Staffing offers a complete range of solutions for the rail industry, especially within retail operations and customer service functions.
After the tunnel collapse at Gerrards Cross and the fire at High Wycombe station last year, Mainline Staffing were able to provide experienced customer service advisors and staff to both locations within 24 hours of each event occurring.
With an extensive database of experienced personnel which can be called up at short notice, one of Mainline Staffing’s key innovations in addressing skills shortages in the industry is their ability to provide and run ticket office training programmes.
Manager Roo Joshi explains: “We have systems in place to source, recruit, vet, train and payroll interim staff at every level. We recognise that our clients’ needs can occur at short notice or in an emergency situation, and, as such, we have the ability to carry out assessment centres for recruitment, which include SHL-approved skills testing, reference checking, in depth candidate interviews, medical screening and client specific induction training, all to rail industry standards and within short timescales.”
With the recent appointment of new account development manager John Kelly to the team, Mainline Staffing has further enhanced its capability to service and meet the needs of the management, technical and engineering sectors within the rail industry. John has worked in the industry for over 25 years, managing infrastructure maintenance contracts for Railtrack and Network Rail, and advising train-operating companies on their needs.
While supplying staff to many of the UK’s leading TOCs, Mainline has recently been awarded approved supplier status for a major organisation, which provides IT and consultancy services to the railway sector.
