Mark Southwell joins Trans4m

Atkins Rail’s Metro Unit Director Mark Southwell has been appointed to the post of Alliance Director - Stations at Trans4m, the Metronet supply chain organisation. Mark, who begins his new duties on December 6th, will report to Trans4m managing director Peter Leach. His new responsibilities on the prestige Metronet PPP project encompass the combined Metronet BCV/SSL £700m stations refurbishment and modernisation programme.
Mark has extensive experience in the UK rail sector including spells as TCS Project Director on the West Coast Route Modernisation programme and Jubilee Line Infrastructure Manager with TubeLines. Atkins Rail’s Group Managing Director Tony Fletcher says, “The decision to appoint Mark to this position is a major compliment to him and to Atkins Rail. He takes on an important, significant and challenging role and I know you will want to join me in wishing him every success. We will, of course, continue to work closely with Mark and his new team.”
