MDA Rail looking forward to another year in training

24 Mar 2006

Following a successful 2005, MDA Rail Training is looking forward to building on their achievements in 2006.

The Investors in People award has assisted them to progress the training and development for all their trainers, who now have clear achievable CPD objectives.
The Training Provider of the Year and the NCCA Co-ordinator of the Year were great awards for MDA Rail Training to achieve, as it provided evidence of all the hard work and time that has been dedicated to the rail industry over the past eight years by MDA’s rail trainers and administrators.

Another achievement was to be awarded City and Guilds centre status in October, which has enabled MDA to offer A1 assessor training, full level three in training and development, and they have also designed a one day course to offer mentor training, which will result on completion in a City and Guilds certificate. If anyone is interested in getting their members of staff a formal mentoring qualification then please contact the MDA rail training team on 01928 751000.

This year already, MDA has been registered as a DC lines approved training and assessment centre and a core planning skills stage one and two (ex RIMINI) training and assessment centre.

MDA Rail Training would just like to remind everyone that all people planning safe systems of work must be proven competent or be working towards competency by 31/12/06, and be in possession of a valid Sentinel card showing core planning skills. Do you have members of staff who require this competence? Then why not contact our training team on 01928 751000 to discuss.

The training team can also be contacted via e-mail: linzi.hosier@millbank.com or alternatively visit our web site at www.millbank.com.
