New Directors for Scott Wilson

Pelham Allen, Stuart Doughty and James Newman have joined the board of Scott Wilson as non-executive directors.

Pelham Allen, 53, has been an adviser to Scott Wilson since 1999, and has been a non-executive director within the Group since 2002. One time chairman and chief executive of Campari International plc and chief executive of the Royal Opera House, Mr. Allen was also finance director of United Leasing plc and is a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nominations Committees.

Stuart Doughty, 62, was chief executive of Costain Group plc between 2001 and 2005. He has previously held the offices of chairman of the Kennedy Construction Group, Alstec Group Limited and Beck & Pollitzer Engineering Holdings Ltd., a member of the board of Hyder plc and chief executive of Hyder Consulting Group Limited. Stuart has also held executive positions with Alfred McAlpine, Tarmac and John Laing.

James Newman, 56, is currently non-executive chairman of Straight plc, a non-executive director of Richmond Foods plc and Dignity plc and a governor of Sheffield Hallam University. Previously he was chairman of Waste Recycling Group plc until its takeover in July 2003. He was deputy chief executive and, prior to that, group finance director of Kelda Group plc from 1998 to 2002.

Says Geoff French, group chairman of Scott Wilson, “At a time when we are preparing for a possible IPO on the London Stock Exchange’s official list, these appointments ensure that we have a well balanced team of non-executive directors providing us with a strong combination of industry and listed company experience.”
