New Footbridge on Chiltern Line
20 Mar 2006
A new £700,000 footbridge is to be installed at Kings Sutton, on the Chiltern line from Birmingham to London. The bridge will remove the need for passengers having to get from one platform to another being guided across the line by a specially-employed guide. Work is due to be completed in April.
Despite its location in rural Oxfordshire, Kings Sutton is one of Chiltern’s busiest stations, with between 80 and 100 passengers a day on average.
As part of the works, a new waiting room will be installed on the southbound platform.
