People Mover Flying Towards Service

The Parry People Mover is set to enter passenger service on Britain’s shortest passenger line this autumn.
Following extensive tests, the vehicle is to run a Sunday-only service on the short single track line between Stourbridge Junction and Stourbridge Town stations. Plans to run the Parry people Mover along the line have been in place for a number of years, but have been subject to several delays. The one-carriage vehicle is powered by kinetic energy from a 1m flywheel, backed up by a low emission LPG engine.
