The first of two new platforms at London Marylebone has opened, improving capacity at the busy Chiltern Railways’ terminus.

New Marylebone platforms. UpmainPlatform six – to be followed by platform five later this year – stands on the site of the old sidings and train washer made redundant by the recently opened Chiltern depot at Wembley. The new platforms take eight car trains.

Platform four has been shortened slightly, in order to allow for a new passenger access to the new platforms.
