Swiss Role for Thompson

George Thompson has been appointed to the position of Business Director for Sersa (UK) Ltd based in York.
George previously held senior positions in Volkerrail Group and Corus building a sound portfolio of British and International sales and marketing experience. Mr Thompson will report directly to Carl Garrud, Managing Director, Sersa (UK) Ltd.
The successful Swiss corporation, Sersa Group AG, recently won authorisation from the SNCF to carry out track work throughout the French network. This represents another hurdle cleared as Sersa extends the scope of its operations westwards. The company wants to position itself as a strong competent and reliable rail technology partner in the French market.
Friends feel that George Thompson's new role could catalyse similar expansion in Britain.
