Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Technical Account Manager with a Rail background for our London based client, who are looking to establish themselves as an industry leader within the digital rail industry
Location (s): The position is based specifically from the London office.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide project management throughout the project life-cycle from initial scoping to delivery and transition
- Understand client requirements and coordinate between client and Product team
- Produce project documentation such delivery plans, risk logs, issue logs, transition plans and project reports
- Be the primary point of contact with the customer and project delivery partners
- Manage internal technical delivery teams in explaining the product, answering questions and resolving issues
- Manage project risk and escalate appropriately to management
- Support customers in the use of my clients products; coordinating responses to questions; finding workarounds
- Discuss, receive and process requests for product improvements
- Collaborate with customers to manage system changes, implement new features, accommodate 3rd party changes and plan for impacts on the service due to weather or promotional activity
- If necessary, work with the Operations team who handle all live, operational issues and incidents
The Candidate
The role also requires a candidate that possess excellent customer focus, that will allow you to effectively represent the company, to existing and future clients, as well as driving discussions with senior personnel.
You should also have experience of project managing the delivery of complex software/technology products and services into the rail industry and you should have a determination to deliver high-quality customer service throughout the life-cycle of the customer relationship. You will also have demonstrable skills in decision-making and the identification of risks to the company.
Essentials
- Project management experience within a technical environment
- Rail Industry Knowledge
- Knowledge of requirement-gathering processes
- 5-10 years of experience in technical support, professional services, project management, client management, or equivalent technical client-facing teams
- Excellent team player
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills ideally honed within a client management position
- Authoritative and a passion to ensure timelines are met and customer satisfaction is achieved
Desirable
- French Language Skills
- High level of attention to detail and able to ask probing questions to ensure issues are resolved first time
- Enthusiastic and able to passionately sell the business to existing and potential clients
