Location: Heaton, Newcastle
Salary: £33,000 per annum to £49,360 per annum

About The role:
We are looking to recruit a Third Party Account Manager, in this role you will be the Account Manager for all third party work on site at Heaton depot, to deliver increased revenue and ensure profitability improvements are delivered in a timely manner, through strong customer engagement.
You would be reporting into the Senior Contracts Manager and provide good relationships with third party customers at Heaton depot to ensure customer needs are met and understood and ensure adequate resources are available to deliver the service.
Key Responsibilities
- To work closely with the key Heaton depot team leaders (production, stores, safety) to identify opportunities to improve performance
- Support performance management
- Hold regular review meetings including tracking KPIs and hold regular structured contract review with third party customers
- Ensure financial targets are met and provide forecasts that highlights opportunities to exceed targets or action plans for shortfalls
- Identify and track risk and opportunities with contracts
- Manage all potential and current approved safety critical suppliers and review when required, including new business opportunities
- Understand and adhere to materials budgets
- Be a representative of Northern in meetings where required
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual. To fulfil this role your greatest strength will be your communication skills and maintaining strong relationships with other stakeholders.
Applicants should have a capacity for clear judgement and decision making to ensure that budgets are met and any issues that arise, you can quickly develop a plan to guarantee depot readiness. You will be excellent at working as part of a team and convey excellent organisational skills.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Show initiative and identify opportunities for improved processes, where necessary
- Good problem solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of budgets and finance
- Knowledge of key tasks associated with train maintenance and engineering competence
- Must have management experience, preferably in materials or contract management
- It is desirable to have managerial qualifications
