Overview
We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to work with Business systems for a large rail company based in Manchester. Reporting to the Head of Fleet Management and Fleet Planning and Control Manager, you would be ensuring that systems are fully functioning and compliant with business requirements alongside further purposes below;
* To ensure that Transport standard processes are known, implemented and used (e.g. ERP processes, WBS, LBS, common codification etc)
* To ensure the consistency between Business processes and IS/IT
* To participate and support process optimisation and rationalisation and drive re-engineering initiatives.
* To support plans for the roll out of validated evolution requests (scheduling, cost management)
* Delivery of projects on time and in accordance with an agreed implementation plan and provide post implementation application support.
* Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Contract Requirements
£15.55/hour for all hours worked
35 hours/week Monday-Friday
Late October start date
6 to 12-month contract
Educational Requirements
Business related degree or HND in a Technical discipline or equivalent or at least two A-level passes in relevant subjects.
Desired knowledge/experience
Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, ideally gained in one of the following, heavy engineering, maintenance, logistics, commercial, finance.
Successful track record of business analysis and process definition/improvement and implementation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
* Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
* To analyse business processes to ensure business improvement requirements are fully documented and are understood to enable standard solutions to be implemented.
* Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
* Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
* Maintenance/implementation of Fleet Planning systems ensuring they adhere with business requirements.
* Manage system access and licences.
