Information & Reporting Analyst
Purpose of the Job
The programme will deliver a new cross-London rail link from Reading in the west, through central London to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east. A critical enabler for the effective long-term operation and management of these new assets is to ensure that enough asset information is gathered and stored to support these long-term objectives.
The role of Information and Reporting Analyst is an important role with key responsibility for the effective utilisation, control and handover of records within the Common Data Environment (CDE) and other related systems and data sources.
Principal Accountabilities
- Supporting Information Handover to Infrastructure Maintainers
- Utilisation of key performance indicator reports to provide early identification of issues in data quality, quantity and provision
- Delivery of ad hoc data analysis activities to a variety of stakeholders
- Production of reports for information handover including project status, key stakeholders, asset types, attributes and data validation
- Supports AIMS database
- Support the Processing of prepopulated templates into the AIMS database
- Coordination of various AIMS processes utilised to create and update configuration items within the AIMS database
- Identifying and implementing changes to workflow processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these processes
- Maintaining quality tracking information
- Updating user support documentation
- Delivery of training to information providers and stakeholders
- Providing Systems and Configuration support within the Handover team where required
- Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction. Never knowingly put information or information systems at risk

- Ensuring that all standards, processes and supporting documentation are kept up to date and organised for easy access by their intended users
- Establishing and maintaining the integrity of handover information & data within the CDE utilising good practice configuration management where appropriate
Person Specification
Experience analysing and manipulating large data sets within Microsoft Excel and/or databases is essential
Good knowledge of SQL is essential
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
Good knowledge of Python is desirable
Working knowledge of eB database is desirable
Knowledge of data analysis using a variety of data analysis tools and techniques
Experience using key performance measures to identify and resolve process problem areas
Methodical approach to work with a high attention to detail is essential
