Are you seeking an opportunity to become part of a pioneering project, looking to utilise your analytical skills to shape the role of Rail in a rapidly growing city region?
We are seeking a Fares and Ticketing analyst who is passionate about putting their skills into effect working as part of our evolving and dynamic Rail Directorate.
Your role
As a fares and ticketing analyst, you will be directly involved in helping deliver the unprecedented trailblazer deal, which is looking to integrate Rail into Greater Manchester ‘Bee Network’ by 2030.
More specifically, using data on Rail fares and ticketing, you will report and analyse on trends to help shape proposals about how fare structure should look for Greater Manchester and how ticketing can be simplified to connect Rail to our other modes of public transport.

Who are we?
The Fares and Ticketing Analyst Role sits within our Rail team at TfGM, which is a team that have always been dedicated to delivering the best possible outcomes for Greater Manchester’s residents when it comes to rail.
Now, more than ever, it is the most exciting time to join this growing team. Through a new partnership with central government and leadership from GM’s Mayor , our rail team are driving an unprecedented change for Rail. This involves taking more control of unreliable local services, connecting Rail to our other modes such as Metrolink and Bus through the establishment of the Bee network and accelerating fares and ticketing integration, which will allow Greater Manchester’s residence to have simplified ticketing options that are convenient and affordable.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for an individual who has had experience managing a programme of work and has worked with consultants to produce a strategic document or business case.
You will also have the ability to prepare complex information clear and concisely for presentation and in writing to a variety of audiences with the ability to Understand rail data analysis techniques providing creative solutions to problems. Is able to demonstrate your understanding of the rail industry, including the role of different partners and how they inter-relate.
You will have worked worked in a partnership and have a track record of making positive contributions to work teams.

- A salary of £39,360 - £43,817 per annum depending on experience
