My client is responsible for the biggest rail construction project in Europe, helping to improve London's commuter infrastructure.
Due to an increase in project workload they require ta Reporting Analyst with experience of 6 Sigma methodologies and Health and Safety information analysis to hit the ground running and join on a short term contract.
Tasks within the role will include but are not limited to the following;
- Maintain up to date Health and Safety databases and ensuring appropriate and timely reporting of Health and Safety information.
- Complete line-wide data analysis and associated trending as the Railway moves into ROGS.
- Act as the point of contact with the RSSB (SMIS related).
- Act as the SMIS 'Coordinator' - activities to include:
- Data input
- End-to-end closure of inputs
- Mentoring and training where applicable (refresher/changes or new entrants)
- Supporting any related communications relating to SMIS
- SHE Reporting including Quality and Assurance outputs, data analysis and trending - CCOS.
- SHE Reporting - CCOS, line-wide and bespoke.
- Bespoke reporting, RFLI-wide and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder liaison (TfL, MTR-EL, NR, HAL, ORR, RSSB).
- Prepare and deliver presentations on safety to a variety of senior stakeholders.
Challenges of the Job
- Balancing competing priorities to bring the railway into service, under time, cost and public scrutiny while ensuring that Health and Safety is always the number 1 priority.
- Multiple departmental, stakeholder and contractual interfaces with varying systems and reporting cultures.
- Analysing complex data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensuring that reporting activities are carried out to schedule and in accordance with company auditing procedures and processes.
- To ensure the activities contribute towards bringing the programme into revenue service.
Dimensions & Interfaces (both internal and external)
- Cross functional and cross organisational working, e.g. TfL, MTR-EL, NR, HAL, ORR, RSSB, etc.
- Engage with multiple parties involved in bringing the Programme into a ROGS environment and an operational railway.
- Developing a collaborative approach with RfLi, CRL and TfL.
Person Specification
- Data analyst experience at an advanced level.
- Sound understanding of data, statistics and their application ideally within a TfL / LUL or NR environment
- Good understanding of the principles of ‘Lean 6 Sigma’.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different organisations.
- Working knowledge of reporting requirements, with specific reference to safety.
- Experienced user of reporting systems and Excel and PowerPoint.
