The role of Business Development Analyst has never existed within this department, it is a blank canvass opportunity for you to make this role yours with plenty of scope to develop and grow your career with support and encouragement.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality data to senior managers across the division to support decision-making on future growth and opportunities.

Your responsibilities will be to provide:

Market Analysis

  • Analysis and tracking of competitor information.
  • Reporting on key stories across the infrastructure market using available intelligence and working with the development team and transport Key Account Leaders.
  • Pipeline Monitoring & Reporting
  • Pipeline analysis for the division – including forward order book and opportunities.
  • Reporting of wins/losses, pipeline data to key stakeholders within the department.
  • Pipeline management (CRM); ensuring the pipeline remains accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with the development team and senior stakeholders within the business to ensure an accurate pipeline is maintained.
  • Attend and provide updates to meetings to share information and knowledge on market sectors.

Candidate Specification / Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree desired but not necessary (numerical field preferred)
  • Possesses good interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data and present back in a clear, concise fashion.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Able to work self-sufficiently as an individual and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience working as a Market and/or Analyst, ideally within the transportation sector.
  • Experience in reporting and data analysis
  • Ideally understands the transportation sector.
  • Experience using CRM and ERP packages
  • Has previous experience from a large corporate environment communicating with stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to produce qualitative and quantitative analysis (including detailed data analysis)
  • Ability to produce structured analysis and create reports from raw data.
