Business Development Manager - Utilities in United Kingdom

We have an opening for an outstanding Business Development Manager to help us win new arboriculture and landscaping work with National Grid, the utilities companies and the large infrastructure organisations managing these projects. You'll be aligned to our Infrastructure team and will utilise your existing network in the Utilities sector to grow the service line and help us to deliver on our ambitious 5 year growth plan, whilst Caring for Our Environment.
This is a field based role with a national remit, as such you can be based anywhere in the UK.

What You’ll Achieve:
- Your key aim will be to win new business through your outstanding ability to consult, negotiate and close deals.
- You’ll work closely with the team to identify framework opportunities and projects that we can tender for and will actively seek to position Ground Control as the contractor of choice with the relevant client contacts.
- Taking ownership for your own success, you’ll have autonomy to initiate and develop opportunities and relationships for Ground Control.
- Acting as Brand Ambassador for Ground Control, you’ll increase company awareness and drive large, successful sales.
- Confident in the public speaking arena, you’ll create and deliver world class presentations to the relevant client contacts to achieve high win rates.
Who we’re Seeking:
- An ‘A’ player who can demonstrate through their career achievements the ability to open doors, identify and build strong relationships with key decision makers and turn big ticket opportunities into successful relationships.
- An experienced Business Development professional who can demonstrate a career of successfully securing significant new business in the Utilities industry.
- A people person, that enjoys relationship building and is comfortable speaking to subject matter experts in the Utilities sector.
- An individual that has expertly navigated regulated environments previously and who understands the need to read and digest industry related reports.
