Business Development Manager
You will join our company as a Business Development Manager to work with existing and prospective customers to achieve sales targets.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- You will be working within our sales team and reporting directly to the Sales Director
- You will be expected to generate, identify and capitalise on opportunities to develop new business primarily within the UK Rail Sector
- Prepare reports daily, weekly or monthly, communicating bookings and billings for the internal team as well as those reports required by the external teams, auditors, board meetings and the Sales Director
- Prepare and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations, ensuring immediate understanding of the subject matter
- You will be confident in communicating, with the ability to establish, maintain and develop professional and progressive relationships with customers, suppliers and prospects.
Business Development Manager Requirements:
- You will be experienced in preparation and delivery of high quality, clear and concise presentations, ensuring immediate understanding of the subject matter, for both internal colleagues, existing customers and prospects.
- In addition to direct sales, you will be required to prepare regular reports for submission to the board to demonstrate performance and progress.
- It is expected that you will travel within the UK with occasional international travel to visit customers and prospects
Desired Candidate Attributes and Skills:
- Experience within the rail sales industry
- Experience within the electrical, engineering or mechanical engineering industry
- Industry Relevant Qualification
- Proven experience in a BDM or Sales role
- Full driving licence
- Willing to travel around the UK and abroad

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Job type: Full Time, Permanent, 36 hours per week
Salary: circa £35k per annum with bonus structure
