Business Development Manager

Location:
Swindon with flexible hybrid working

Salary / Benefits:
£60,000 - £75,000 per annum plus car / allowance and package

Company Information:

A fast paced principal civils infrastructure contractor is looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Work Winning team to act as the key interface with clients and potential JV partners, identify and present market opportunities and be involved in the decision-making relating to the opportunities the business chooses to pursue.

The Business Development Manager will be the key point of contact for clients through regular contact & discussions with a responsibility for developing an understanding of client's needs, aspirations & opportunities.

To be suitable for the position you must have;

- Civil engineering background in civils infrastructure delivery
- Proven experience in a Business Development Managment or Project Management role with a background in civil engineering, highways or rail infrastructure delivery
- Sound knowledge of the governance and procedural requirements for work winning.
- The ability to quickly develop strong & collaborative business relationships
- A sound knowledge of Construction as a minimum
- IT literate & able to use both Microsoft & company systems to track pipeline of opportunities

Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;

- Relevant management qualifications
- A record of business development achievement

The Business Development Manager will be accountable for:

- Responding to expressions of interest and a range of PQQs.
- Ensure the pipeline tool is up to date with construction periods included
- Ensure pipeline call is organised & managed every fortnight
- Take responsibility for PQQ from kick-off meeting to submission
- Ensure customer relationship mapping / bid strategy documents are in place for clients
- Production of a weekly report submitted to the Director's each week
- Clients / partners contacted with outcomes & potential opportunities
